Good, unpretentious food coupled with relaxed informal dining is at the heart of the Seaview Hotel. We are lucky to have our very own farm supplying beef, pork and venison as well as fresh vegetables and herbs. Alongside traditional crops we have planted a variety of heritage vegetables bringing some new colour and flavour to the table. We try to keep our food offering as ‘local’ as possible and work with a multitude of island suppliers, for example it’s not unusual for our head chef, Bruce Theobald, to know when our fish was caught, by whom and on which boat.

The Pump Bar
An endearing and unusual feature of the Seaview is the Pump Bar – a traditional pub, decorated with seafaring paraphernalia, located at the heart of the hotel.  You can expect a laid-back atmosphere with a wealth of local ales on tap and serving a traditional bar classic menu. Low on ceremony but high on flavour, the Pump Bar is caught in a time warp and a fine example of what a pub used to be – and the locals agree!

The Naval Bar
Modelled on a naval wardroom, officer’s mess-cabin, the Naval Bar is home to a magnificent collection of naval pictures, photographs and artefacts. The collection now extends along the Hotel corridors and is one of the most extensive private collections to be found on the Isle of Wight. The Naval Bar is a perfect place for relaxing and enjoying an informal meal or drink and where talking about politics, religion or business is strictly frowned upon!

Terrace
During the summer months the front terrace is the ideal place to kick back, relax and watch the world go by. The beach is only moments away and there are views across the Solent.
