The Quay Arts Centre is situated in a converted 19th-Century brewery warehouse complex at the head of the River Medina in the centre of Newport.

Refurbished in 1997 by award winning architect Tony Fretton, our facilities include three galleries, a 134-capacity theatre, a Crafts Council-listed gift shop and popular Café Bar with a reputation for serving some of the best home-cooked food on the Island. Business conferencing facilities are also available, and the Centre is licensed for weddings and civil partnerships.

Fused Glass Jewellery Workshop

Details

A four week evening class covering the basics of Glass work and making your own jewellery in various colours and shapes. All materials provided.

You’ll explore the properties of glass, learn how it changes during firing, basics of kiln use and most importantly, how to cut, layer and fuse plain and dichroic (colour shifting) glass to create jewellery.

All the pieces will be kiln fired off-site for collection on an agreed date. Materials are included.
