Beginners Wheel Throwing Weekend Course
17th August 2019, 10:00 am
18th August 2019, 4:00 pm
This 2-day course is suitable for complete beginners and is a great way to learn about all the basic stages of pottery production on the wheel
Day 1 //all about learning to prepare and centre clay, pulling walls and making cylinders and bowls.
Day 2 // Your pots will have firmed up overnight and you will learn how to trim your work on the wheel. You will decorate your work with coloured slips, which will be fired and transparent-glazed at a later date.
Students are allowed to keep up to 8 pots for firing. We will email you when your work is ready to collect after a few weeks, and you can come and collect your pots during class times. We keep work for 2 months after emailing, after which we have to dispose of the work as we have limited space to store work.
Please bring a packed lunch, light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
**Please bring a towel and apron to the session**
